IRS announces tax filing and payment relief for those affected by Kentucky flooding

The IRS has announced (IR-2022-145) relief postponing certain tax filing and payment deadlines for those affected by recent flooding in Kentucky. Storm victims in affected parts of Kentucky will have until November 15, 2022, to file individual and business income tax returns and to make associated tax payments. This relief is available to any area that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) designates as qualifying for relief. The list of eligible localities is also available on the IRS's disaster relief page.
