Puerto Rico's Municipal Income Collection Center extends due date from August 15 to August 31, 2022 for first estimated property tax payment for tax year 2022

In Administrative Order 2022-05, the Puerto Rico Municipal Income Collection Center (CRIM) has extended from August 15, 2022 to August 31, 2022, the due date for the first estimated property tax payment for tax year 2022. The other estimated property tax payments are due on their normal dates:

  • November 15, 2022 (2nd payment)
  • February 15, 2023 (3rd payment)
  • May 15, 2023 (4th payment)

Implications

Because the 2021 personal property tax return's due date was moved from August 16, 2022 to August 22, 2022, the CRIM also extended the due date for the first estimated property tax payment, giving taxpayers more time to properly determine the 2022 estimated tax obligation.
