Tuesday, September 13 | International tax talk quarterly series with the EY Global Tax Desk Network (1 pm ET)

A series addressing pertinent global tax topics and recent developments

A discussion on recent tax developments in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, focusing on Australia, Hong Kong, India and Korea

As the tax landscape evolves, companies need to understand the changes and make necessary adjustments. This webcast will address significant tax developments in the APAC region, such as:

  • Australia's proposed update to its thin capitalization rules, limitation on deductions for certain royalties, anti-abuse measures for treaties and tax transparency measures
  • Hong Kong's proposed refinements to its foreign-source income exemption regime for certain types of passive income
  • India's Supreme Court determining that a cross-border secondment arrangement is subject to indirect tax levy, which will likely affect existing and historical arrangements
  • South Korea's tax reform proposals, including measures to enhance corporate competitiveness and align the Korean tax system with certain global standards

Panelists from EY's international tax desks will discuss these recent updates and how these changes may affect businesses.
