Puerto Rico’s Treasury Department extends due date for filing the SUT return because of Hurricane Fiona

In Administrative Determination 22-06, the Puerto Rico Treasury Department (PRTD) has extended from September 20, 2022, to September 27, 2022, the due date for filing the monthly sales and use tax (SUT) return and paying the SUT for August 2022, as a result of the state of emergency declared by the Governor of Puerto Rico due to Hurricane Fiona. The PRTD will not impose penalties on those who file the monthly SUT return and pay the SUT on or before September 27, 2022.
