Malaysia announces new DE Rantau Nomad Pass for digital nomads

Effective October 1, the Malaysian government will begin accepting applications for the DE Rantau Nomad Pass. This new Professional Visit Pass for digital nomads will allow holders to work remotely from within Malaysia for up to two years and sponsor qualifying dependents. Individuals can apply for the DE Rantau Nomad Pass online and successful applicants will initially be granted DE Rantau Nomad Passes that are valid for up to 12 months, which may be renewed for an additional 12 months.
