Czech Republic prohibits certain Russian nationals from entering for tourism, sports or cultural purposes

Effective October 25, Russian nationals who hold valid Schengen Visas issued by any EU country will be prohibited from entering the Czech Republic for tourism, sports or cultural purposes if they arrive from a country outside the Schengen Area. Earlier this year, Czech embassies worldwide suspended the issuance of new visas to Russian and Belarusian nationals. These individuals may still submit visa and long-term residence permit applications to Czech embassies in limited circumstances only (e.g., if they are family members of EU nationals who reside in the Czech Republic). This restriction will remain in place until March 31, 2023 and may be extended at the discretion of the Czech authorities.
