02 November 2022 Senegal introduces COVID-19 vaccination requirement for inbound travelers Effective November 3, travelers who seek to enter Senegal must either present valid proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 or take a mandatory COVID-19 test upon arrival, to be admitted. This new rule doesn't apply to travelers aged 12 and under. As was the case prior to November 3, travelers who seek to enter Senegal on or after November 3, 2022 are exempt from the requirement to take a pre-travel COVID-19 test if they obtain a Smart Health Card from the Senegalese Ministry of Health prior to entry, confirming that they are vaccinated against COVID-19. In general, all travelers (including Senegalese citizens and residents) are still required to take a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test no more than three days prior to travel, and test negative, to be admitted.
