The IRS Independent Office of Appeals has released its "Focus Guide" for FY23, outlining priorities and initiatives for the coming year and briefly reviewing FY22. Taxpayer-service initiatives are a priority for FY23; a "key success in 2022" involved addressing "a significant increase" in cases referred for settlement in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
