On 8 November 2022, Argentina's Chamber of Deputies' permanent advisory Commission of Foreign Affairs approved the bill to ratify the Multilateral Instrument to implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI). This approval leads the way for the approval vote of the Chamber of Deputies and National Senate, needed for formal ratification and subsequent deposit of the instrument of ratification with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Argentina signed the MLI on 7 June 2017, including a provisional list of expected Reservations and Notifications covering 17 bilateral tax treaties signed by Argentina.

On 1 April 2022, the Argentine Government sent to the Chamber of Deputies a bill to ratify the MLI.

The MLI will enter into force on the first day of the month following the expiration of a period of three calendar months beginning on the date of deposit of the instrument of ratification.
