Cambodia implements new online application procedure for Type E Visa

Effective January 6, individuals who seek to apply for a Type E Visa can do so online. Previously, foreign nationals could only apply for the visa at a Cambodian embassy or consulate in their home country or country of residence or upon arrival in Cambodia. The Type E Visa is a single-entry visa that enables its holder to conduct business and work activities in Cambodia (including situations where the visa holder is self-employed). Visa holders can be placed on the payroll of a host company in Cambodia or remain on the payroll of a sending company abroad. In general, the Cambodian immigration authorities process Type E Visa applications within three days of the application being filed online and forward the visa to successful applicants via email.
