IRS issues proposed regulations on use of forfeitures in qualified retirement plans

The IRS has issued proposed regulations (REG-122286-18) addressing the use of forfeitures in qualified retirement plans, including a deadline for the use of forfeitures in a defined contribution plan. The regulations would affect participants in and beneficiaries, administrators and sponsors of qualified retirement plans. The IRS invites comments to be submitted by May 28, 2023.
