IRS extends tax deadline until May 15, 2023 for taxpayers affected by winter storms in New York State

The IRS has extended until May 15, 2023 various tax return filing and payment deadlines for taxpayers in Upstate New York (Erie, Genesee, Niagara, St. Lawrence and Suffolk counties) affected by storms occurring between December 23 and 28, 2022. An IRS news bulletin (IR-2023-58) provides details and links to more information.
