CMS Issues FY 2024 Hospice Proposed Payment Rule

On March 31, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Hospice Payment Rate Update Proposed Rule. In the rule, CMS proposed payment rate updates for hospices for FY 2024, as well as updates to the Hospital Quality Reporting Program (HQRP), telehealth waiver deadlines, and physician certification requirements.

CMS is accepting public comments on the proposals until May 30, 2023.
