Sweden's certification process for expedited processing of work permit applications to end on 15 December 2023

The Swedish Migration Agency recently announced that the current certification system for expedited processing of work permit applications will end on 15 December 2023, and a new application processing system will be implemented on 29 January 2024. On 22 November 2023, the Migration Agency confirmed that qualifying companies will be able to submit work permit applications under the current certification system until 14 December 2023, and the Agency will attempt to process applications submitted between 15 December 2023 and 28 January 2024 under the new system. During this transition period, the Agency will focus on finalizing the procedure for processing work permit applications submitted by companies certified under the current system.
