Israel updates salary requirements and immigration application processing fees

Effective 1 January 2024, the monthly wage threshold for foreign experts working in Israel for more than three months increased to ILS 24,758 (approx. USD 6,780). In addition, the government processing fees for immigration applications increased to ILS 12,410 (approx. USD 3,398). Foreign nationals who seek to apply for B-1 Work Visas for Experts and work in Israel for up to three months must now earn a monthly salary that equals or exceeds the minimum wage in Israel (which is currently ILS 5,571 or approx. USD 1,525). The revised salary requirements are linked to the average monthly salary in Israel, which increased on 1 January 2024 to ILS 12,739 (up from ILS 11,730 in 2023). These amounts are subject to periodic adjustments at the discretion of the Immigration Authority.
