22 May 2024 Turkiye announces new visa-free policy for Romanian nationals The Turkish government recently announced that effective 21 May 2024, Romanian nationals may enter Turkiye for business, tourism or personal purposes without a visa. The visa exemption policy will enable eligible holders of Romanian passports or identity cards to enter and remain in Turkiye for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. Individuals who seek to stay in the country for longer periods must obtain an appropriate visa or permit.
