Indonesia launches Autogate system for eligible foreign nationals

Effective 11 June 2024, eligible foreign nationals will be able to use the Autogate system at two airports in Indonesia when entering or departing from the country. Autogate, which was previously available only to Indonesian nationals, is a digital system that allows individuals to complete immigration formalities upon arrival or prior to departure without doing so in person at a clearance counter. The Autogate system will not be available to foreign nationals traveling with children aged 14 or under, and those under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a guardian. These individuals will be required to visit a clearance counter at the Soekarno Hatta International Airport and Ngurah Rai Airport to complete immigration formalities.
