Kenya increases fees for several immigration services

Kenya recently increased the fees for several services for foreign nationals, residents and citizens. The revised fees announced by the government in November 2023, went into effect in April 2024. The proposed fee changes impacted various immigration applications, including those for business visas, work permits and permanent residence. Fees for services for citizens, such as issuance of birth and death certificates, identity cards and passports, were also subject to changes.
