Ghana clarifies new visa-free policy for nationals of the Bahamas not yet ratified by parliament

The government of Ghana has clarified that the visa-free policy for eligible nationals of the Bahamas seeking to enter Ghana is yet to be ratified by the parliament of Ghana. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has informed EY that the visa waiver agreement between the Republic of Ghana and the Bahamas has yet to be ratified by the Parliament of Ghana. Accordingly, until the ratification, Bahamian nationals who wish to enter Ghana, including for business visits, must obtain the appropriate entry visa prior to travel or on arrival at the entry point.
