IRS identifies basket contract transactions as listed transactions

The IRS and Treasury Department today released proposed regulations (REG-102161-23) that would identify transactions that are the same as, or substantially similar to, certain basket contract transactions as listed transactions subject to reporting by taxpayers and material advisors under Treas. Reg. Section 1.6011-4(a). A Tax Alert is forthcoming.
