06 February 2025 Kentucky Department of Revenue to pause operations during rollout of new online portal for business taxpayers On January 15, 2025, the Kentucky Department of Revenue (Department) announced1 that MyTaxes, a new tax portal for business tax filers, is projected to be available on March 14, 2025. The Department will temporarily pause operations to facilitate the rollout from February 26 through March 14, 2025.
Beginning March 14, 2025, business tax filers will use the new MyTaxes portal, instead of OneStop, to access information and file the following taxes, fees and charges:
MyTaxes will also replace E-Tax, the UGRLT and Telecom filing system and WRAPS (the Withholding Returns and Payment System). The Department recommends that businesses complete any necessary filings before the shutdown to avoid delays and to print their historical data, which will not be accessible in OneStop as of February 26. Login information for MyTaxes will be sent during the first week of March. Individuals may still file their income tax returns at any point from January 27 through April 15, 2025; however, the Department will not process returns and refund payments during the two-week pause. Department staff will still be answering phone calls from taxpayers during this period, but they will only be able to provide limited assistance until normal operations resume March 14, 2025. Business taxpayers should consider the two-week pause in determining when to complete their filings. They might be well-served to complete any necessary filings and preserve documentation of those filings before the shutdown on February 26. The Department indicated that the full transition to MyTaxes will take multiple years to complete.
