09 April 2025 Ireland to launch enhanced Employment Permits Online (EPOS) system on 28 April 2025 The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) has announced the transition dates for the new Employment Permits Online (EPOS) system. This transition will involve a temporary suspension of the existing EPOS website, which will impact the submission of Employment Permit applications. The current EPOS website will go offline as of 6 p.m. local time on 17 April 2025 and will remain unavailable for a period of five business days. During this downtime, no applications will be accepted. All users are required to submit already completed draft applications before the system goes offline, as only fully completed and submitted applications will transfer to the new EPOS system. The new EPOS system will launch on 28 April 2025. A Tax Alert prepared by EY's People Advisory Services, and attached below, provides additional details. Document ID: 2025-0853 |
