Philippines announces new Digital Nomad Visa

The Philippine authorities announced the introduction of a Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) for foreign nationals who seek to work remotely from within the Philippines for a company located abroad. On 24 April 2025, the Philippine government passed Executive Order No. 86, which creates a new pilot program for digital nomads. This program is set to begin within 60 days of its effective date (i.e., 23 June 2025). Under this initiative, digital nomads will be able to stay in the Philippines for up to one year initially, with the possibility of extending their visas for an additional year. Visa holders will also benefit from the ability to make multiple entries to the country during their permitted period of stay.
