19 May 2025 China Mainland introduces new visa-free policy for nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay Effective 1 June 2025, nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay will be eligible to enter the Chinese mainland for business, tourism or family visit purposes, or transit through the jurisdiction, without a visa. The visa-free policy will remain in effect until 31 May 2026. The visa-free policy will apply to eligible holders of ordinary passports issued by the aforementioned jurisdictions. These individuals will be able to enter the Chinese mainland and stay in the jurisdiction for up to 30 days without a visa per entry. Those who do not meet the conditions for visa-free entry or intend to stay in the jurisdiction for more than 30 days will be required to obtain a visa prior to entry.
