Lithuania announces changes to list of countries where applications may be submitted using external service providers

Lithuania’s Minister of Interior Affairs recently announced changes to the list of countries where applicants can submit requests for temporary residence permits or national visas through an external service provider. These changes will take effect on 22 October 2025. These changes are expected to impact applicants from countries without a government-approved service provider. Lithuanian employers that seek to hire impacted individuals may consider alternative options for sponsoring these individuals.
