Ecuador eliminates yellow fever vaccination requirement for nationals of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru

Effective 28 August 2025, nationals of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru are no longer required to present an International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever when entering Ecuador. On 1 March 2025, Ecuador introduced a temporary vaccination requirement in response to rising yellow fever cases across South America. The measure followed alerts from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and applied to travelers from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.
