India announces new requirement for Overseas Citizen of India card holders to apply for e-Arrival Card

All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders entering the country are required to apply for an e-Arrival Card within 72 hours prior to arrival. Effective 1 October 2025, India introduced a new e-Arrival Card requirement for all foreign nationals entering the country, including those holding regular visas and e-visas. OCI card holders were initially exempt, but now only Indian passport holders remain exempt from this requirement.
