     This week's tax news from the Americas

• Bermuda releases installment payments form, due 31 January 2026
  On 19 January 2026, the Bermuda Corporate Income Tax Agency issued a new form used in calculating corporate income tax installment payments. The form requires basic information on the methodologies and inputs used in calculating the required installment payments. For each installment due before 31 December 2025, the due date is 31 January 2026 (adjusted to 2 February 2026 because 31 January is a Saturday).

• EY publishes detailed description of side-by-side package on Pillar Two Global Minimum Tax
  A Global Tax Alert, published 16 January 2026, provides an in-depth look at the political and technical agreement by the Inclusive Framework on a comprehensive package for a "side-by-side arrangement" (the Package). The Package, which is in the form of Administrative Guidance, includes a new Simplified Effective Tax Rate Safe Harbor, a one-year extension of the Transitional Country-by-Country Reporting Safe Harbor, a new Substance-based Tax Incentive Safe Harbor and two Safe Harbors related to a Side-by-Side System.
