IRS extends deadline for Energy Credits Online Portal submissions to February 7, 2026

On January 23, 2026, the IRS announced that the Energy Credits Online (ECO) Portal, which allows clean vehicle manufacturers, dealers and sellers to manage their tax credits, will be unavailable on January 29 and 30, 2026. In light of this planned downtime, the deadline to submit edits, returns or cancellation requests for calendar year 2024 sales via the ECO portal has been extended to February 7, 2026. The submission deadline for late time-of-sale reports for calendar year 2024 sales remains March 1, 2026.
