Oman introduces mandatory company registration on the Tawteen platform

Effective February 2026, the Ministry of Labour in Oman introduced a mandatory requirement for all companies operating in the country to register on the Tawteen electronic employment and recruitment platform, according to press reports. This requirement aims to strengthen Omanization efforts and ensure compliance with national employment targets. The Tawteen digital platform was launched in December 2024 and is used by government authorities to manage recruitment, labor clearances and visa requests, enabling them to track Omanization ratios and compliance. Registration on the platform has now been made mandatory.
