The US Supreme Court has held that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize President Trump to impose tariffs, but the administration's trade agenda is far from over. The administration will continue carrying out its America-first trade policy under other trade authorities, some of which can be used quickly.
