Hong Kong extends visa renewal window to three months for certain categories

Effective 1 March 2026, the Hong Kong Immigration Department will accept visa renewal applications from eligible individuals under various employment and talent admission schemes within three months (up from one month currently) prior to the expiry of their visa. The new arrangement gives applicants more time to prepare and submit their visa renewal applications, thereby further facilitating their continued residence in Hong Kong.
