Qatar announces suspension of visa-on-arrival facility for nationals of Pakistan

On 31 March 2026, Qatar suspended the visa-on-arrival (VoA) facility for Pakistani nationals with immediate effect, following an official advisory issued by the embassy of Pakistan in Doha, as per press reports. Pakistani nationals traveling to Qatar will no longer be permitted to obtain a visa on arrival and must now secure an appropriate visa prior to their departure for Qatar. Employers should remain abreast of the latest developments and inform impacted employees as required.
