IRS announces Business Tax Account can now be used by partnerships, government entities and tax-exempt organizations

The IRS on April 6, 2026, announced (IR-2026-46) that partnerships, federal, state and local governments, Indian tribal governments, and tax-exempt organizations now have access to Business Tax Account, its secure online platform for managing federal tax responsibilities. Business Tax Account allows taxpayers to: view tax balances; make payments and see payment histories; download select digital notices; view eligible transcripts; request tax compliance checks; and view the business name and address on file with the IRS.
