04 June 2026 Qatar announces suspension of entry visa extension measures and resumption of standard visa regulations On 28 May 2026, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced the suspension of the previously implemented decision to extend all types of expired or nearly expired entry visas, as per press reports. This change will take effect from 7 June 2026. From this date, standard procedures governing visa validity periods, extensions and applicable fees will resume for all entry visa categories. Effective 28 February 2026, the MoI introduced a temporary measure granting an automatic one-month extension for all categories of expired or near-expiry entry visas. This measure was implemented in response to regional travel disruptions and was processed electronically without fees or required action from visa holders.
