08 June 2026 Vietnam requires electronic ID account for online immigration filings from 1 June 2026 The Ho Chi Minh City Immigration Office announced that, effective 1 June 2026, organizations must use a Vietnam electronic identification (VNeID) account as the official authentication method for all online immigration procedures. Legacy accounts on the National Public Service Portal using digital signatures (tokens) are no longer accepted. The requirement introduces a shift from the previous token-based authentication system to a government-issued digital identity framework. While immigration procedures continue to be processed through the existing online portal, organizations must now use a VNeID account as the sole authentication method and designate authorized personnel to manage submissions through the platform.
