Guinea announces reciprocal visa measures for EU nationals following EU restrictions

On 24 July 2026, Guinea's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Abroad announced reciprocal visa measures impacting European Union (EU) nationals. The measures include the temporary suspension of multiple-entry visas, extended visa processing timelines and the introduction of processing fees for holders of diplomatic and service passports. The suspension of multiple-entry visas and longer processing times may affect EU nationals who travel regularly to Guinea for business activities. Although the authorities have not yet announced a formal implementation date, travelers may begin experiencing these impacts immediately. Employers may face reduced travel flexibility and additional administrative requirements pending further implementation guidance from the Guinean authorities.
