Angola now requires appointments to file applications at three offices of immigration authorities

Individuals seeking to file immigration applications with certain offices (the Total, Sonangol and Cassequel) of the immigration authorities in Angola are now required to book an appointment to file their applications and can no longer do so on a walk-in basis. The new appointment requirement is part of a pilot program introduced by the Angolan immigration authorities to optimize the intake and processing of immigration applications submitted from within Angola and improve the experience for applicants. The immigration authorities are expected to assess the effectiveness of the pilot program and may eventually make the appointment requirement permanent and/or extend it to additional SME offices.
