UK ends concession for offshore wind workers on April 30

Effective April 30, the immigration concession for offshore wind workers will end in the UK. The Home Office will require offshore workers (and their sponsors, if applicable) to report their arrivals in, and departures from, UK territorial waters effective April 12. In 2017, the UK government introduced a temporary concession in the Immigration Rules, which allowed foreign workers leave to enter the UK until April 30 without any notification for the purpose of joining a vessel engaged in the construction and maintenance of wind farms within UK territorial waters.
